I work in the Kuwaiti desert where I may have to navigate at night over long distances. Anybody that has ever had to navigate in the desert knows what a challenge it can be, especially at night. This app is by far the best land nav tool out there. When properly setup and calibrated, the accuracy is on par with a dedicated GPS. I have verified it against several GPSs and it has always been within 10-15 meters of the intended point versus the GPS. I highly recommended it. However, as a word of caution, to ensure the best accuracy take the time and select the correct settings. If you are using MilGPS in the MGRS mode as I do, and you are using it in conjunction with a military map, be sure to select magnetic north versus the defaulted true north setting.

But even easier to use.

This app is awesome. Military should just provide this to Soldiers instead of all the really expensive stuff they have. Worth every penny. UI could be a little more user friendly, but with a little practice, its fairly easy to learn.

Any chance you can add functionality with Apple Watch users? Would be great to view and track waypoints right from my wrist! Thanks!

I spend $9.99 to buy this app but it doesnt work waste the money dont buy it

Great app, paid $10 for it, but its only compatible on iPhone/iPod. Need to be able to use it while Im on the range to help with targeting for the aircraft that Ill always be working with. Its not always plausible to just use your phone, will give 5 stars when add compatibility for iPad. Also, would like to see military map symbols integrated.

Love this app!! Works very well even in the most remote areas with no cell service. Really looking forward to Apple Watch being implemented into the app as well. Would love to be able to look at my watch and get distance to point, elevation and direction. Cant wait! Thanks for a great app!

So I dld this app sorta by accident. Nevertheless I want to learn how to proficiently use. See im old school military, and we navigated with a map & compass. Perhaps help files could be a little more geared toward the novice user. Any info you could give me on this would be appreciated.

App does what it was intended to do.

Great app; had to go to website for detailed instructions but well worth it. MGRS overlay is outstanding. Glad I made the purchase.

Overall a great app! Accurate without cellphone reception to 5meters. User friendly and easy to read. Could use road mapping feature. Overall well word the money!

Works great when issued systems dont and just as accurate. Wish it could cache maps from Google for when data service wasnt available.

Good app, but it could use some tweaks... 1. The waypoint data on the location screen is way too big. Some of this area could be used for other items. 2. The waypoint data on the map screen is too small and blurry, hard to read. Aside from these two issues I find this to be a good app that does everything it says. If these minor tweaks are made Ill ammend this 4 star rating and give it a 5 star for sure! Please continue to update this app and make it even better. Its going to sell BIG if it keeps getting these good ratings. : )

This is a phenomenal application for the iPhone for any NCO or officer. Add in a case with battery recharge capability and you have yourself an extremely capable mgrs device.
